Maple Cinnamon Cupcakes with Ginger Cream Cheese Frosting // Recipe

It's a mouthful, the name of this cupcake - maple cinnamon cupcake with ginger cream cheese frosting. It's a fall-inspired cupcake (I say 'inspired' because we obviously don't get to experience any of the four seasons here in Singapore) but to my lovely readers who are lucky enough to live through my favourite season and those who love eating maple syrup from their jars, this one's for you.

This is also my 'cartoonizing' photos and adding speech bubbles and stuff like that. It's a concept that I'm gravitating to because I like that it's so much more interactive. Let me know what you think!

The cupcakes are not just pretty to look at, they're ridiculously simple to make. If you were an experienced baker, you could whip the batter up in less than 5 minutes. And if you weren't, you'd take about... less than 5 minutes.

Yup, it's that easy.

"Grown ups" are going to love these as do kids, because they're just so good. It's decadent with tinges of spice. I would probably spike it with a little nutmeg when I make it the next time round. Let your taste buds go wild with your own blend of spice! Not too much spice though, you don't want to overpower the maple syrup a.k.a star of the show.

Enjoy these little monsters! And if you feel compelled to ask, no, I'm not an avid fan of lady gaga, although I do admire (and gawk at) her outrageous outfits.

  1. They're so cute! It sounds like an amazing flavour combination too. I live in Hong Kong, and though it is getting cooler it is in no way autumnal - like you, I'm trying to convince myself it's autumn with my cooking!
